The guest / host-contract comes into force as soon as the room has been ordered, a confirmation has been sent and the room has been prepared (even without confirmation given).
Havind made the contract, the contract partners are obliged to fulfil the clauses, independent of the duration of the agreement.
The host is obliged to pay compensation if he is not able to furnish the room agreed on.
If the guest cancels his booking he is obliged to pay the usual price or the price agreed on less the expenses saved by the host. As a rule, the following reductions from the price can be made:
40% for accommodation / full board
30% for accommodation / full boardfor accommodation / half board
20 % des for bed and breakfast
10 % des for a holiday flat
In cases of cancellation, the hosts are expected to further offer and - if possible - let their rooms and flats in order to avoid loss of income. Till the rooms or flats are occupied again, the guest has to pay the amount of the whole period of his original booking - taking into account the reductions mentioned above.
