Please have yourself registered immediately after arrival. Your host will give you the register form you need. After having filled in the form, you'll receive your guest card that guarantees reductions in more than 180 Black Forest villages and towns. The "Schwarzwald-Gästejournal" in your tourist office informs you about the numerous offers you can use. From January 1st 2007, the guest card has the KONUS symbol on it and is your free ticket for travelling by buses and regional trains within the area of all transport associations taking part in the KONUS programme.
In the officially recognized health resort of Glottertal, all guests staying in the village are charged with a health resort tax. This tax is meant for financing public institutions and facilities that can be used by the guests of Glottertal, for the organization of special events like concerts and guided hiking tours as well as for maintaining a tourist information office that provides you with a lot of informative material for holidays full of adventures.
The Glottertal health resort tax - charged from the age of 16 - was € 1,20 / day from May 1st to October 30th and € 0,80 / day from November 1st to December 31st. Children are free of charge till they have finished the age of 15. Payment is demanded by the hosts.
